Paper co-authored with Manly Council's Branch Manager, Natural Resources Ms Skye Rose and presented at the International Cities, Town Centres and Communities conference held in Auckland NZ in June 2007.  This paper briefly traces the journey from Manly's 1995 Conservation Strategy to today's Manly Sustainability Strategy and plans for its implementation.

Values Mapping:
A tool to assist in conserving native vegetation. Judy Lambert presented this paper as part of a workshop at Greening Australia national 'Veg. Futures' conference in Albury March 2006.

Engaging communities early and often:
A paper presented at the Australian Wind Energy Association's Annual Conference (August 2005, Sydney). Outlines the benefits for industry of engaging with communities before conflict arises, and as an ongoing part of new project development and implementation.

Reshaping rural extension:
New players - new roles. Paper presented at Australasia Pacific Extension Network conference (Hobart, December 2003). This paper explored the changing roles of rural extension staff and the new participants and new relationships they are adopting in their profession role.

Taking Care of the Bush: National forum on Nature Conservation on Private Land:
The "Taking Care of the Bush" national forum hosted by the National Trust of WA was held in Subiaco, Perth from 21 – 23 March 2001. (CSIRO Resource Economist Carl Binning worked with Judy Lambert to prepare the final overview of the forum and to place it in a bigger context. As Carl had to fly off to a resource economics conference in South America before the forum ended, Judy presented the overview.)

Temperate woodlands: Developing successful conservation policies.
Paper co-authored by Judy Lambert, Carl Binning & Jane Elix and presented at 'Temperate woodlands in Australia workshop held in Braidwood in 1999 resulting in the publication 'Temperate Woodlands in Australia', Surrey Beatty & Sons, Chipping Norton NSW, 2000.

Partnerships In Land Management:
This paper 'Bringing them all together: Effective partnerships for natural resource management' was presented as a discussion starter and for feedback during a poster session of the International Landcare 2000 conference in Melbourne. It explores factors necessary for real and effective partnerships in NRM.

Women In The Agricultural Sector:
Jane Elix presented this paper at an ABARE 'Outlook' national conference in Canberra in 1999. It provides an overview of the 'Missed Opportunities: Harnessing the Potential of Women in Australian Agriculture' project completed for the Rural Industries Research & Development Corporaton and the Department of Primary Industries & Energy during 1998.

Quantifying Social Impact Assessment:
The paper addresses Social Impact Assessment of broad policy change towards ecologically sustainable development at the local level, and in so doing presents a simple quantification method on which the authors would welcome feedback. Prepared as a result of a 1998 project with Sutherland Shire Council.
